Husband Appreciation Day

Husbands are the most unappreciated group of people.

So in India Husband Appreciation Day is observed on third Saturday of April every year.

From the earliest recordings of marriage, husbands have been established as the protectors and providers for their wives and children. Some religious and cultural traditions believe that it is the husband’s duty to provide physical and spiritual protection for the wife as well.

A husband, in the modern world, is a free security guard, electrician, plumber, carpenter, coolie, driver and much more in his unpaid under appreciated roles.

So much of work of husbands is lost in the cacophony of gender rights without much appreciation. Hence, the need of Husband Appreciation Day.

Celebrate it by telling your husband how grateful you are for his presence in your and children’s lives.
