NOTA for Men’s Rights in Election 2019

NOTA trending in Delhi the capital of India

When someone offers you choices that you do not like, won’t you reject it? Similar thing was done by MRA’s in India. They rejected the existing political parties in the General elections of 2019. As none of the political parties included any plans for men’s welfare in their manifesto though there were promises for feminists in their Manifesto. MRA’s were tired of increasing crime against men and constant neglect of men’s issues. So they decide to express their displeasure by using NOTA in election. NOTA vote means None Of The Above so when people vote for NOTA they show that they are not happy with any of the persons running for the election.

They decided not just vote NOTA themselves but also try to create awareness among common people about neglect of men by existing politicians. Their twitter activities were successful as their Tag of #NOTA4MensRights was trending Nationally for nearly half a day on election date and #NOTA was also trending in Delhi.

So NOTA stood among the top 5 Voters choices in 383 constituencies.

This is more than 50% of the total constituencies. Hence NOTA just cannot be ignored by the political parties. This analysis also reveals the reason why political parties were trying to convert NOTA votes to their votes. In fact some parties went to the extent of branding NOTA voters as fools who were wasting their choice and even compared to not voting. This exposed their uneasiness with loss suffered due to NOTA votes.

The call of Men’s Rights activists to not vote for parties ignoring men is gaining momentum in spite the efforts by political parties to mislead them. In near future the politicians ignoring Men’s rights will find it difficult to win. They will have to fall in line of fall out of race.

2 Comments on NOTA for Men’s Rights in Election 2019

  1. Awesome analysis. NOTA is a kingmaker for sure. Though political parties continue to ignore male vote bank, NOTA shows it’s strength in 2019 too. Ignoring men is costing political parties more and more.

Based on the numbers, it is clear that if NOTA was taken seriously, 2nd in each constituency could have been 1st. The whole result could have been changed. Still ignoring male vote bank?

  2. This is a highly appreciated analysis, let the political parties pay attention to the problems faced by male and hence help in formation of PURUSH AYOG.
Dear political leaders, you are our representative in parliament where law are made/modified as per demand & need of a good society. This is the time you should think and save men’s from fake cases and fake alligation put by otherwise again I will go with NOTA option.
