Intolerance is living and thriving in India through Apartheid

Apartheid (Afrikaans pronunciation: [ɐˈpartɦɛit]; an Afrikaans word meaning “the state of being apart”, literally “apart-hood”) was a system of racial segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party (NP), the governing party from 1948 to 1994.

Though Apartheid may have ended everywhere else in world but it is still living and thriving in India. In India most of the places are segregated as either reserved for ladies or open for all. The areas reserved for ladies are obviously comfortable while the areas for men are those similar to that for slaves suffering from apartheid. In public transport, normal coaches where men have to travel are so crowded that it’s difficult even to enter or get out, let alone standing comfortably or getting place to sit. While on the other hand the coaches for women are mostly vacant.

Indian men cannot enter in a bus, train, metro coach reserved for women but women can definitely enter any coach whether or not reserved for women. So women not only use the ladies coaches but also enter the coaches used by men, though already overcrowded. Such women along with friends etc, harass other men to give them space even in crowded general space. Further aggravating the problem are female pickpockets, they flick valuables of male travelers and easily get away, as men rarely dare to catch a lady pick pocket fearing fake molestation case. This increases inconvenience of passengers in already overcrowded coach. To give you a glimpse on how much crowded the coaches normal men’s coaches are just see this video below. Due to such overcrowding many men lose life every year.

Even if a train is full to brim like the video above and the ladies coaches of same train are almost empty, men are not allowed to enter the empty coach. People from developed countries may even find it hard to believe such intolerance for men exists in today’s modern times. But this type of evil practices are fully supported by the feminist government of India.

Incidents of men falling to death occur regularly due to such #FatalCrowding of public transport.

In just a single city Mumbai two men die daily due to #FatalCrowding in trains. (In Mumbai 25,722 passengers fell from trains in last 10 years, of whom 6,989 commuters died)  Even in such a precarious situation if some male gets into ladies coach by mistake, he gets the same treatment like the blacks used to get from the white racist. The misandry in India is so high that there are innumerable incidents of men being thrown out of running train and left to die.

Some men tried to highlight this fatal crowding issue, fight for equality and object to such discrimination by trying to travel in ladies coach of Delhi metro as a form of protest. But in the country that calls itself a democracy these men were insulted, slapped, kicked and forced to do sit-ups in public. All this just for protesting about lack of facility for men, who pay the same fare for the travel tickets as women. Though I have shared one video of such incident, it happens daily across various parts of this nation across every mode of transport. It was also shameful that the news reported this intolerant behavior as acceptable.

Feminist Government supports hue & cry about #ManSpreading but refuses to acknowledge the issue of fatal crowding in transport system used by men. In all these negative environment I see some ray of hope from one of oldest city of India Kolkata. Like other Indian cities, trains are used for commuting in Kolkata too, trains are already full to brim. While trains like Matrubhumi that are reserved for females, run 70% empty. So the railways made an economical decision to add few general coaches in this ladies train for increasing ticket sales. But the female supremacist intolerant to such a decision. On Monday 17 Aug 15 they decided to block the Khardah station to protest against men being allowed to board the Matribhumi Ladies Special train. About 150 female supremacist stopped train movement and detained 31602 Dn Ranaghat-Sealdah Matribhumi. It further caused other 20 pairs of local trains getting stranded. The railway officials gave in to such arm twisting tactics and reversed the decision to add general coaches to the ladies train. But such a short sighted move of giving in to bullying by radical feminist had to have its repercussion.

On Monday 24th August 15 group of passengers who wanted to restore equality tried to board a Sealdah-bound Matribhumi local from Bongaon at Habra station around 7.45am but women shoved them out. So the aggrieved people sat on tracks to protest. The protest grew and soon spread to eight stations and trains plying from these stations got stranded. Few people showed protest against discrimination by writing Pitrubhumi (male word for matribhumi) on the Matrubhumi trains. The peaceful protesters where canned by police, this aggravated the peaceful protesters leading to stone pelting.

Months have passed but the railway authorities have not yet taken any positive action. The ladies coaches are still running empty while men are still traveling in hazardous condition on overcrowded coaches. Men are arrested and thrown in jail because they refused to accept discrimination due to female supremacists. Delhi male travelers were also arrested for the same thing. This has to be stopped. Men have rights too, for if Men did not ride such buses, trains or metros they could not operate. Three-fourths of the riders are men, yet men are arrested, or have to stand over empty seats. If men do not do something to stop these arrests, they will continue. The next time it may be you, or your son, or father. I, therefore, ask every man to get organized and stay off such public transport at least for one day as peaceful form of protest. Don’t ride the buses to work, to town, to school, or anywhere on that day. You can afford to stay out of school & office for one day if you have no other way to go except by discriminatory public transport. You can also afford to stay out of town for one day. If you work, take a cab, or walk. But please, children and grown-ups, don’t ride the any such transport. Protesting against discrimination in important.
