Bandage Finger even if Thumb Bleeds

Tia – Hi Ria, The railways have reserved a bridge for women after the Elphistone bridge stampede. It’s a great decision.

Ria: No, It’s illogical and discriminatory decision.

Tia: How?

Ria: Tell me one thing, suppose you are lifting weights, and it falls on your thumb. The thumb is badly hurt and bleeding. Would you bandage the fingers and cover them with protective material and leave the thumb unattended as thumb is stronger and bigger than the fingers?

Tia: I am not that stupid!!!

Ria: Do you know that in Elphinstone stampede, it was the men who died more than women?  Now one entire bridge reserved for women will stay underutilized, while the men would have lesser space than earlier to cross the tracks, thereby increasing chances of one more stampede. So by reserving a bridge for women only the railways too are doing the same thing “Bandage Finger even if Thumb Bleeds”

Tia: You do have a point Ria.

Ria: Railways are not alone. The entire society has gone bonkers. We keep worrying about safety of girls while more boys are murdered, more males commit suicide, more men die at work and most homeless are males. We keep on creating new policies for females from men’s tax money hope this ends soon.
