On the onset of Independence Day when the entire nation would be commemorating celebration of 71st Independence Day , Group of men’s right activist will Flag the cause of distressed men. Men who believe in liberation of Male fraternity from stereotype roles are gathering in kolkatta for 9th “ All India National conference of Mens Right Activist.”
The event is carried every year in rotation to various p[arts of states ranging from North South East & West part of Country . The year before in 2016 event happened in Hydrebad ; prior to which the event was carried in Agra . Kolkatta is hosting the event for Second time since the inception of the Men’s right. Activist from different geography of country will join hands to discuss the future of male up-liftment, Men empowerment & the gender bias they suffer due to sugar coated discrimination called positive discrimination, laid as foundation to create gender divide in Society.
Increase in domestic violence on men / sky rocketing male suicides / flaws in United nation gender equality policy / impact of gender biased laws on male fraternity/ Apathy towards men issues and it’s acceptance are key challenges forum will be discuss debated . The Quorum will present suggestion to enable support for Men welfare to help them restore their dignity & live respectfully.
Hridaya Nest of family harmony is the organisng NGO & the event is conductuced in Ibiza resort from 13th to 15th August. Members of Umbrella NGO of Save Indian Family be will be participiating in event from 25 States & 50 Cities.
The Forum of mens Right activist have been pioneers in establishing first of its kind help line for Men 0882498498 – for men in distress. they also innovated an Android App – SIF one for providing access for men facing any kind of harassment. First Shelter home for men is also an out come of this group. Their Social media group has been extremely Vocal in voicing misuse of laws against men and #fake cases has been the 5th highest trending hash tag on twitter in the Country in last 5 years .
More than 150 dignitaries from 50 NGOs country wide working for men’s welfare -from across the Nation will participate in the event. The forum will also propose a charter of demands to overcome the impact created by positive discrimination of gender biased laws.
The Forum will come out with a comprehensive document for Men’s right movement and its future course of action in days to come.

- Flaws in UN policy of gender equality.
- Bias in implementation of Domestic Violence laws their implementation and adverse consequence on Men. – Based on foreign Studies
- Flaws in implementation of maintenance act and gender bias against men .
- Men’s helpline and counseling & its impact on men’s issues.
- Suicide Trends / cause and effect on Men in India.
The major demands highlighted in the forum will be
- State to establish gender Equity of Men – “Acknowledge Men as Human”- Right of fair treatment in eyes of law.
- Ensure Elimination of so called positive discrimination of gender in legislating new laws & existing laws and make them gender neutral for true adaptation of Human Right.
- Exhibit finding of gender studies carried by various men’s right organization to highlight flaws in existing laws and its abuse to victimize Men.
- Recognition of male issues like “Domestic violence on Men “ Cruelty on Husband by Wife “ , Sexual abuse of men and establish “ Mens Commision” to record and address these issues.
- Stop All Gender Discriminatory campaigns which stereotype and demonize men as perpetrator of Crime against Women.
- No government policy/ Scheme/ program should differentiate between Male & Female Child in providing support for education & health benefits .
- State to facilitate distress centres for men & officiate help line for distressed men to overcome discrimination.
- Shut down ministry / commissions spreading any form of gender discrimination.
- Say no to any form of Violation/exploitation of men ; Physically, economically or socially.
- Focused heath programs for raising life expectancy of men to match with women.
