Uncle: My wife is threatening me with fake cases under Domestic violence and Dowry laws, if I do not transfer all my property in her name.
Chang: Did you ever harass or beat her or demanded dowry?
Uncle: Never, in fact, I was the one who had borne majority of the marriage expense, as they claimed to be in financially stressed at the time of marriage.
Chang: So why are you worried if you have not done anything?
Uncle: Because I have realized now that even though I am innocent I can be arrested and harassed based on her fake verbal claims. I stand to lose time money and reputation all due to draconian provisions of the biased laws.
Chang: Why had you not opposed the draconian laws when they were being made?
Uncle: I should have opposed, but I had thought it would never happen to me.
